Our hiring process

How do we hire at Harold Sharp?

The hiring process at Harold Sharp is designed to identify individuals who are not only technically proficient but also align with the company's values and culture.

Application

Candidates typically begin by submitting an online application, which includes uploading a CV and responding to specific questions that provide insight into their motivations and suitability for the role. This initial step allows our recruitment team to assess both technical qualifications and personal attributes.

Interview

We aim to keep our recruitment process efficient, transparent and respectful of your time. If shortlisted, the process will typically involve:

- An initial interview – held either in person or via Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference.

- A final interview – always held in person at our office, giving you a chance to get a feel for our environment.

Throughout the process, you’ll meet a variety of team members from Harold Sharp and have plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Our interviews follow a structured Q&A format, and in some cases may include a task or technical exercise relevant to the role.

Becoming part of the team

If successful, we’ll make sure you feel part of the team from day one. Successful candidates will join a structured onboarding programme designed to help you settle in and feel at home. On your first day, you'll receive a personalised welcome pack, along with a detailed agenda for your first week. This includes a series of informal meet-and-greets with colleagues from across the business - giving you a behind-the-scenes look at our different departments, the clients we support and our collaborative work culture.
