Travel by car

From the south (M6)

Exit the M6 at Junction 19 (signposted ‘Manchester Airport, Stockport A55, M56 East’) and at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A556 towards Manchester. After 4.2 miles, join the M56 East towards Manchester. Continue on the M56 for approximately 7 miles.

Exit the M56 at Junction 7/8 onto the A56 (signposted ‘Altrincham, Lymm’). Continue on the A56 through Altrincham and into Sale. After passing Sale town centre, turn right onto Brooklands Road (B5166). After 0.3 miles, Brooklands Place will be on your right. Harold Sharp is located at No. 5.

From the north (M62 from Leeds)

Join the M60 ring road southbound from the M62 and continue around Manchester. Exit the M60 at Junction 6 (signposted ‘Sale, A6144’). Take the exit onto Sinderland Road/A6144, then turn right onto the A56 (Manchester Road) toward Sale.

Continue on the A56 into Sale town centre. Turn left onto Brooklands Road (B5166) just before the Brooklands Metrolink station. Brooklands Place is located 0.3 miles on the right. Harold Sharp is at No. 5.

From the east (Peak District via A6/A523)

Follow the A6 or A523 west towards Stockport and join the M60 ring road heading anti-clockwise (west). Exit at Junction 6 (signposted ‘Sale, A6144’). Take the exit onto Sinderland Road/A6144, then turn right onto the A56 (Manchester Road) toward Sale.

As you enter Sale, continue on the A56 until just before Brooklands Metrolink station. Turn left onto Brooklands Road (B5166). Brooklands Place is located 0.3 miles along the road on the right-hand side. Harold Sharp is based at No. 5.

Travel by public transport

Harold Sharp is well-served by public transport, with easy access via the Metrolink and local bus services.

By Tram (Metrolink)

The nearest tram stop is Brooklands on the Altrincham line, which is just a 2-minute walk from the office.

From Manchester city centre, trams to Altrincham depart regularly from St Peter’s Square, Deansgate-Castlefield, and Piccadilly. The journey to Brooklands takes approximately 25 minutes.

On arrival at Brooklands Metrolink stop, walk south along Brooklands Road. Brooklands Place is the first right turn after the crossing. Harold Sharp is located at No. 5.

By Train

The nearest mainline train station is Altrincham, which is approximately 10 minutes away by taxi or 5 minutes by tram to Brooklands.

Trains to Altrincham operate from Manchester Piccadilly via Stockport, and the station is also connected to the Metrolink network.

By Bus

Several bus routes serve the Sale area. The 256, 263, and 245 routes run frequently along the A56 (Manchester Road), which is a short walk from Brooklands Road.

Alight near Sale town centre, then walk or take a tram one stop to Brooklands.
